Frank, it’s nice to see another writer analytically evaluate the questionable accuracy, utility, and value of the “write every day!” myth that’s so pervasive — especially online — today. Whilst it’s evident that you and I have different writing styles and seem to envision different potential solutions to tackling and overcoming deficiencies in writing skill, it’s reassuring to know that there are others out there, like you, who recognize that “just write!” is far too simplistic, short-sighted, and elementary to function as a genuine piece of advice through which aspiring writers can effectively hone their craft.
