I appreciate your thoughts, Linda! Interestingly, you’re not the only one to mention that you’re also currently writing about the power of vulnerability. I believe Jae Hermann is writing a piece about this topic too. There must be something ‘in the air’ haha.

“It always strikes me how we’re so quick to admire vulnerability in others, but often afraid to be vulnerable ourselves. It’s something I’m working on.”

I am as well. I think this is a characteristic of writing about personal development topics more generally, i.e., the willingness to pontificate on how others should act whilst simultaneously struggling to follow our own advice on a day-to-day basis. Having said that, I try to look at this dynamic in a less cynical light than what I just described: perhaps in writing about the reasons why others ought to be more honest, passionate, vulnerable, and so on, we’re also indirectly writing to ourselves, reminding ourselves that we, too, need to make these positive changes in our own lives. At least that’s how I tend to (try to) understand my own writing.

Cheers :)
