  • Pierre Bourdieu, “The Peculiar History of Scientific Reason”, pp. 3–26 in Sociological Forum 6 no.1 (1991)

Bourdieu dedicated several decades to arguing, as he says on p. 20 of the second above-mentioned article, “[i]t is possible to explain a theory genetically without undermining its claims to truth.”

I think you’ll find Bourdieu’s ideas and arguments on the topic of the genetic fallacy extremely interesting and intellectually stimulating. Let me know what you think if you find the time to read the pieces.
