I can certainly sympathize with your struggle to find a manageable balance between saying yes to everybody asking things of you on the one hand and having enough time to finish the tasks that matter most and staying healthy whilst doing so on the other.

Personally, I’m quickly becoming quite selective in terms of the kinds of work I’m willing to do and the types of clients I’m eager to take on. These dynamics are also affecting how I price my services. I’m declining — or choosing not to pursue—certain opportunities in order to better manage my time and work on higher value projects.

With fewer (yet more lucrative) clients, it’s becoming easier for me to “stay on top of things” these days. It’s certainly an ongoing challenge, though.
