Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a comment, Greg! I think you’ve highlighted one of the key predicaments many of us are facing in the modern age. On the one hand, we now have virtually unfettered access to information on the most devastating, depressing, and brutal aspects of every day life. On the other, we have to — for our own sanity and for the benefit of our interpersonal relationships — try to find a balance between not sticking our heads into the sand in an effort to shield ourselves from what’s happening in the world and not allowing our own happiness and well-being to be destroyed by taking on the weight of the world, much of which is too heavy for any one person to bear. Knowledge is power — in both the positive/productive sense and the negative/destructive sense of the word. I’m still trying to figure it all out myself. Cheers!
