Michael, it’s very encouraging to see that you, too, believe this. I wrote nearly the exact same thing recently, suggesting:
“Believing you deserve a reward — recognition, payment, career advancement, etc. — merely because of the amount of effort you’ve dedicated to something is not only immature, short-sighted, and off-putting to others but it can also wreak havoc on your physical health and mental wellbeing.”
